1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GB Grid Data ("Service"), operated by Star Delta Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service provides aggregated network capacity, fault level, and headroom data sourced from UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs).

2. Definitions

• "Service" means the GB Grid Data platform, website, and associated APIs.
• "User" means any individual accessing the Service.
• "Subscriber" means a User with an active paid subscription.
• "Content" means all data, information, and materials provided through the Service.
• "DNO" means Distribution Network Operator.

3. Account Terms

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription & Billing

Paid subscriptions provide access to premium features. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fees
• Automatic renewal at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• Price changes with 30 days notice before your next renewal

Payment processing is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle's terms apply to payment transactions.

5. Refund Policy

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling off period from the date of purchase.

By subscribing and accessing premium features immediately, you acknowledge that you are requesting immediate access and understand you will lose your cancellation right once you have accessed premium data.

Refunds after 14 days are at our discretion and may be considered for:

• Extended service outages
• Billing errors
• Technical issues preventing service use

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk download, or systematically extract data without permission
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the data without consent
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal use
• Circumvent access controls, authentication, or rate limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Data & Content

Generation headroom, fault levels, and capacity figures are indicative and subject to change. Users must verify all data directly with the relevant DNO before making any commercial or technical decisions.

Source data is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by Star Delta Software Ltd.

Source data from DNOs is published under open licences (OGL v3, CC BY 4.0). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the data for your own purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not resell or redistribute compiled datasets without our written consent.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The data is accurate, complete, or up-to-date
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The Service is suitable for any particular purpose

This Service is not a substitute for formal enquiries to DNOs or professional engineering advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Star Delta Software Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Decisions made based on data obtained through the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the subscription fees you have paid in the preceding 12 months.

11. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your paid period.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for breach of these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified with at least 30 days notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
